Humberto Manduley (La Habana, 1959) es un investigador independiente que por más de cuatro décadas se ha acercado a diferentes zonas de la creación sonora en Cuba. Trabajó en la radio durante 21 años, además de escribir para publicaciones dentro y fuera de su país. Colaboró en la redacción de los diccionarios sobre Heavy Metal y Punk-Hardcore latinos publicados por Zona de Obras-SGAE. Es autor de los libros "El rock en Cuba" (2001, Ediciones Musicales Atril) y “Hierba Mala: una historia del rock en Cuba” (2013, NialaNai Ediciones).

No hay mejor modo de acceder a información y datos sobre el rock en Cuba. Humberto Manduley no es un outsider: ha sido parte él mismo de esa historia, desde su condición de estudioso, periodista, conductor y productor de programas radiales especializados... y fan. Este libro es el resultado de muchos años de investigación, seguimiento y búsqueda; pero también de discusiones y polémicas para situar todas las piezas de esta historia en el lugar que les corresponde.

Un gran trabajo de Investigación y de seguimiento, por anos!!!!.......son contados los casos en la historia donde la pasión , el compromiso consigo mismo y sobre todo el compromiso con toda la gente de tu generación en Cuba ,amante del rock , se logra la prueba para que pasemos de ser descalificados e ignorados a convertirnos en historia; la historia del "Movimiento del rock en Cuba".......Muchas Gracias!!!
